My name is Sam, I am a Christain, and enjoy learning about history. I created this site so people can learn more about the major military conflicts America has participated in. Each of these fightings are told from Americas point of view. These aren't done to the smalliest of details but just a general explanation. You may notice that some are explained more clearly than others. This is because I know more about those certain areas. I am a fairly bad speller and you may notice a lot of errors made on the site. Try not to let these errors distract you from the over all messsage that is being given.
What this site is about is our militaries history from the beging to the present day. It theroughly describes each and every war we have participated in. These were then split into three categories that I felt were similar. Each war is placed in order in the category from earliest to latest. This also happnes to be the over all order in which they occured. I would also like you the reader to note that these categorites are by no means the actual names historians have given them but what I felt the over all theme for them was.
What I want people to get out of this site is accurrate usesful information while making it easy to find such information. I also want people to learn of our history and how it's made America what it is today. I want people to appretiate the freedoms and liberties that we have in our country today. Though we aren't perfect, we are better off than most other peoples. I'd also like to se people use this as a source for learning and studying. This siete will compile all that information into one site making it quick and easy to find what you're looking for.
Fighting in general is what made America what it is today. It is what originally secured our freedom and made us into a new country. War along with negotiations helped expand our borders and shape us into the 48 continental states we are today (along with Alaska and Hawii make the total to 50). It has also keep these freedoms together and strong during times such as the Civil War and bot world wars. Today we use it as a means to extended our help to those in need while also making sure we are stil safe back at home. War is the thing that brought us out of the depression and gave many Americans jobs. Useful technologies have come from it such as airplane designs, GPS, and sonar. Sadly, it is also what has caused much of our national debt. Most of the debt came from nueclar weapons build up during the cold war. All of these things are what shaped America into what it is today.
