Positives & Negatives
There are several positives to choosing a Fender Bass Guitar. Some reasons are:
- Squiers are some of the cheepest guitars, that have quality to them.
- Easy to Maintain.
- Jazz bass is really good for play slap-bass(technique).
- Classic look.
- It is made with quality materials.
- Good playability
- These basses can be used to play basically any type of music.(since there are different types of basses)
- Jazz Bass-Good for Jazz, blues, techno, country, and those with more complicated bass lines
appear better on a J-Bass. Also, if you have smaller hands and fingers, then the Jazz Bass is better
because it has a slimmer neck.
- Precision Bass-Good for Rock, pop, alternative, funk, and R&B with simpler bass lines
appear better on a P-Bass. Also, the P-Bass is better if you have larger hands and fingers, because it has
a larger and thicker neck.
- Jaguar Bass-Good for basically anything that the Precision and Jazz Bass can do, since
it has the extra tone knobs, it can basically be made to sound however you want it.
Negatives/Disadvantages
- The regular Fenders are pretty expensive.
- Somewhat limited variety of sound.
- The Squiers can be good for a beginer, but you can "outgrow" them after a while.
- Not great for heavy metal.
