Every Christmas, before any grandchild can recieve their presents, they must participate in The Heibel Family Talent Show! This is one tradtition that has been around for a long time, and has brought much joy to Dan and Marj. Some highlights are:
The Heibel Family has pretty much been limited to having dogs, but many awesome dogs have been a part of the family. Here they are:
Please note: Micah and Bobbi have only had one dog because Oscar is so great they don't need any more.
"Some of my favorite memories are Oscar attacking Matt when him and Micah were wrestling; basically any talent show: whether its reenacting Christmas poetry or singing the Orchestra song horrendously as a family; Mark daring Micah to drink a bottle of mustard (for what was it, $20?); Kaitlin breaking our chandelier with the volleyball/her clumsiness; marshmellow snow ball fights; stealing my mom's BMW to go to the movies while it was snowing out; our past and present obsessions with ANTM, Robin Hood Men in Tights, Spaceballs, Scrubs, The Office; That being said the ungodly amount of "That's what she said" jokes; and, of course, Jesse falling asleep on the toilet."
"...and the time Oscar bit Anne on the nose, causing her to have a sore, red nose and high embarrassment. The rest of the cousins stepped up to the plate and painted their noses with red lipstick so Anne wouldn't feel so bad. That was a Christ-like act."
