Washing and Cleansing your face

Washing your face may appear to be the simplest and least talked about topic on earth, but if done properly, it can promote a healthy glow. Therefore, cleansing your face properly is basic to a good body care routine especially if you are wearing makeup throughout the day. steps:

  • Put your hair out of your face so nothing is on or covering your face (pony tail)
  • Next, wash your hands so that no dirt or germs get trasfered from your hands to your face.
  • Get your face wet with some warm water to open up your pores, splash your face.
  • Put a small amount of face cleanser on your hands, about the size of a nickel. Rub some on your wet hands. Use a product that is gentle enough for your skin. Something too strong will just dry the skin out and stimulate the oil glands to produce more oil.
  • Get the cleanser in a good lather, rub it together into your hands so you can see a nice soapy substance.
  • Using your fingertips rub the cleanser all over your face. Massage the cleanser onto your face to remove dirt, oil and makeup.
  • Rinse your face with room temperature water- not too hot or cold.
  • Pat your face with a clean dry towel, make sure you don't rub too hard just a pat.
  • If you have a very dry face, you can use a moisturizer after you wash your face to keep your skin from getting really dry! To get the best results and a clean face you should do this routine every morning and night!

Some face washes that are very good at keeping skin clean and also preventing acne would be: ProActiv, Olay face wash, Neutrogena deep clean. These products are some of my favorite face washes but also nationally known for doing a great job! The Neutrogena deep clean is my favorite, and it also has exfoliating beads in the cleanser which helps open up and clean your pores out!
