EXPLANATION

The myths of Ancient Greece may seem like very strange, and pointless things for modern day people to study. But at the time they had great relevance that affected everyone's lives daily. Those same stories still have reasons for us to learn them today in our modern age.

Mythology in greece had an affect on almost everyone's daily lives. It affected the way they ate, drank, celebrated, clothed themselves, and they often worshipped or sacrificed daily. If they felt that the gods did not want them to do something, they would not do it. Almost everything in their lives was based off of what their "gods" wanted them to do. They received these orders through oracles, priests, and prophets. And in some cases, gods themselves.

Mythology today doesn't hold any relevance beyond the ability to teach us lessons, and to tell us more about ancient greece. There is nearly no belief in the olympian gods left, save for a few occultist groups. Today, mythology is mostly looked at for fun, to be reimagined for entertainment, and to show us some history.
