Teacher and Class

Mrs. Willet has been teaching art at Lincoln Lutheran ever since I went here. She teaches grades 6-12, so she has to know everything about teaching high school students and middle school students. She teaches every class we offer in the art area: pottery, crafts, drawing, and independent art. She also gives hints to those students that want to continue education in the arts. Mrs. Willet has a degree in teaching and in art. "She is one of the best art teachers in Lincoln, and we are thankful to have her," said Mr Hiebel, Lincoln Lutheran principal. She likes to show her students videos of famous artists so that they can see how to use art as a career. This makes her students see what an art degree in college could lead to. Mrs. Willet has children and is married. Her family is filled with teachers and her husband rides a motorcycle and sometimes stops by to check out the students' art. The mood she sets in the art room is very homey, but like home, don't goof off or she'll yelled at you. Mrs. Willet is a big part of Lincoln Lutheran pottery, and without her, we wouldn't be able to learn all the tricks and techniques there are to know about pottery.
Pottery Class
Lincoln Lutheran offers two pottery classes, Pottery 1 and Pottery 2. In pootery one you learn the basics and in pottery 2 you get to be more creative and more self guilded projects. Both these classes are in the art room which we have is very exceptionally nice one for our schools size. If you fall in love with the arts here you can take an indenpent art class for your own free time.
