The Satanic Church:
The Church of Satan
The Church of Satan was founded by Anton LaVey. It was based on LaVey's The Satanic Bible, which contains pages on the rituals on Satanism, it also holds the specific beliers of LaVey Satanism.
First Satanic Church
This church was re founded on Halloween(october 31st) of 1999 by LaVey's daughter, Karla. She runs it very similar to that of her father. It was moved from New York to san Francisco
Order of Nine Angles
The ONA as it is sometimes referenced as is a traditional method worship of Satan. It started in Britain in 1960, and peaked in the 1980s and 1990s. It is an occult style religion and works towards a goal of a new individual. This is achieved by getting rid of the worthless and week part of the person. They believe in a sinister way of dealing with things and life. This is different from other churches, the First Satanic Church specifically. since that church was founded by LaVey they follow his "Satanic Bible". The ONA doesn't believe in the "Bible" saying it has many things wrong with it.
Typhonian Order
Typhon was the greatest of the ancient greek monsters. This Church was know first know as Typhonian Ordo Templi Orientis when it was created by a wealthy German named Carl Kellner, after his death he was replaced by Theodor Reuss. Ruess suffered a stroke and Aleister Crowley thought that he was unable to hold his post as head of the organization. They exchanged angry letters quarreling over if he was capable to continue. Eventually Ruess died and crowley replaced him. But during World War II the church had to under ground. It remained underground until after the war where it picked up again in california. They believe in extra terrestrial life, as well as Demons and darker beings present in the world.
Temple of Set
The Temple Set was established by Michael A. Aquino, in 1975 in California. This is a occultist form of Satanism, and they must have an initiation to get into the church, that was founded out of disgust with the regular church of Satan. They often associated with a sexual nature in their rituals. They have rituals, philosophies and practice magic as well. The Temple Set makes many references to the Egyptian god "Set" and other connections to ancient Egypt.
