Free Ride

The most common of the three main types of boards is the free ride board. This board is for those rides that don’t say in one place of the mountain. This board was built with everything in mind. It’s made more for beginners then the more experienced riders. They are the board that is between the Alpine snowboard and Freestyle snowboard.

Freestyle

The free style snowboards have a fiber glass core which allows it to be lighter, stronger, and a more flexible board. Another name for this board is a “Twin”. This name is used because each end of the board is identical, same thickness and shape. This board is built for the park in mind.

Alpine (Race Board)

The alpine board is built for racing. This board is directional board, this is where one board is more pointed then the other so that the board can only has one front and one back, so there is no switch riding with this board. These kinds of boards are built more like the snurfer was like just without the rope.
