Vegetarian Types
Partial Vegetarian
A partial vegetarian eats poultry, fish, dairy products, and eggs. Basically, they
no longer consume any red meat. Although, there are partial vegetarians who do
variations of this diet. For example, one person I met no longer ate poultry, fish, or
pork, but they still ate beef, dairy products, and eggs. I also have met a person who
eats dairy products, eggs, and all meat except for fish because of ethical reasons. Some
consider these people in this category, whereas others do not. This diet is usually a
stepping stone to becoming a full vegetarian.

Pescatarian
A pescatarian is a person who doesn't consumes any meat except for fish and
crustaceans. This diet is commonly used as a second stone, if necessary, to becoming
a full vegetarian. A lot of people also use this diet for health reasons.
Vegetarian
A vegetarian no longer eats any meat including beef, pork, poultry, fish, or
crustaceans. Some vegetarians take this diet more lightly than others. By this meaning, some
vegetarians will be picky about the ingredients to create foods and they make sure that
no part of the food comes from killing an animal, or is cooked on a surface that has
cooked meat previously.
Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian
A lacto-ovo vegetarian no longer eats meat products, eggs, or dairy products. The "lacto"
part stands for no longer eating dairy products. And the "ovo" part is the same, but for
eggs. Sometimes there are lacto-vegetarians meaning that they no longer consume
dairy products or meat, but still eat eggs. Then there are ovo-vegetarians who do not
eat eggs or meat products, but will eat dairy products.

Vegan
Vegans are the strictest type of vegetarian. They no longer eat or use any product that
comes from an animal. They no longer eat meat, eggs, dairy products, honey, and they
also search all food ingredients to make sure that none of these products are hidden
in the ingredients list. They also will not use any by-products from animals in their
daily activities. Meaning they won't use leather, or some chapsticks because they have
lanolin(sheep wool) in it, or certain shampoos and conditioners because it has glycerin
in it. They also make sure that a lot of the products they use aren't tested on animals.
