The Playstation 3 is the third system created by Sony. It is the successor to the Playstation 2. It is competing against Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii to be the best in the seventh generation of video games. It was unveiled on November 11 2006.

One of the newest things they added to the PS3 is that they know have thier own online gaming service called the Playstation Network. The Playstation is the first game system to include a blueray player in the system. It is connectable to the Playstation Portable.
