Jimmy Fallon
"Don't Keep reaching for the stars because you'll just look like an idiot stretching that way for no reason.”
James Thomas "Jimmy" Fallon was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 19, 1974. He fell in love with Saturday Night Live when he was young when his sister, Gloria, would reenact skits from the shows. He attended Saugerties High School after going to St. Mary of the Snow, which were both Roman Catholic schools. While in high school, he learned how to play the guitar and soon fused music and comedy into one delicious medium. He was a Computer Science major, but switched to a Communications major in his senior year at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. Along with his graduation hat, Fallon was given a troll doll as a graduating gift. He soon heard about the impression contect at the Bananas Comedy Club in Poughkeepsie, NY, and took his troll doll with him to compete. His skit was a commercial for troll dolls and they all had celebrity voices and were auditioning to be the spokesperson. After college, he began touring the country doing stand-up shows. He also began studying improv at the Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles.
While he was at the Groundlings, he was summonded to New York to try out for Saturday Night Live. For Lorne Michaels, he impersonated Jerry Seinfeld,[12] French Stewart, Pat O'Brien, Chris Rock, Hilary Swank, Gilbert Gottfried, Enrique Iglesias, Adam Sandler, Jeff Foxworthy, Eddie Murphy and Larry the Cable Guy. Many of which would turn into future parts for the young comic. He was a featured player for 1998-1999 season and in the summer of 1999 he was hired as a full time cast member. He became co-anchor with Tina Fey in October of 2000 in the season permiere. He left Saturday Night Live in 2004 to persure a movie career and other such things.
Jimmy Fallon is currently hosting the show "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" and is setting his sights on making another album to follow up The Bathroom Wall and other movies. He is also working on making "I Hate This Place 2: Tokyo Drift" which would be a sequel to the book that Fallon and his sister Gloria wrote, called "I Hate This Place: The Pessimist's Guide to Life", in 1991. He has been in movies such as Almost Famous, Fever Pitch, Taxi and Whip It.
