Protein is considered as the "building block" of a beginning
body builder. Protein helps build and repair body tissue. It also helps
fight off colds and diseases for malnurished people. Sounds pretty good
right? Protein is found in many places in the body, mostly in muscle,
bone and hormones. One positive protein does do for body builders is that
it gives you stamina and energy. Muscle is 70% water and 30% protein.
therefore, protein is the first thing body builders need to be taking
when starting to workout. There are many ways to get protein into your
system. Protein can be found in everyday meals you eat. Also, you can
take protein shakes, which is what most bodybuilders use to get that extra
amount of protein in their body. Meat, fish, poulty, eggs, tuna, baked
beans and more are all foods that consist of some sort of protein. Titan,
whey, are certain shakes you can take to get extra protein. There are
two types of protein shakes. One is called Casein Protein, and the other
being your protein isolate shake.
Casein Protein is much different than your average protein shake.
this protein is a "slow reacting" protein, usually takin before you go to
bed after a hard work. It takes a slow reaction process to digest the
proteins into your muscles, bones, and hormones. It slowely releases amino
acids into your blood stream, lasting up to 7 hours. Many body builders take
both protein types. One of the reasons for this is to get a mix. Your
protein isolate shake is absorbed quickly, taken right after your workout,
and processed in your body in a quick amount of time. Then before a person
goes to bed, they will also take a casein protein so that their body has
protein in its system through out the day, and also while he/she is
sleeping.

Protein Isolate is another form of protein taken and used by
body builders. The reason it is an Isolate is very simple. Isolate
is a liquid material, by-product of cheese products. If you were to drink
lots of milk you can gain weight, which is what bodybuilders want to do,
get bigger, stronger, and larger. So, by taking a by-product of cheese
products added in with protein, you are getting that 2 in 1 package. This
protein is a fast reacting protein, meaning you drink it, and it is digested
into you system and run through your blood stream with in a matter of
minutes. Obviously, you know Casein protein is the complete opposite, taking
up to 7 hours to be fully put into your system. Both of these proteins are
things a body builder need to gain that weight along with their strength
and size.
