When it comes to airbrush paint, there two types come that should come to your mind. Water based and Urethane based. Both types have great uses for an airbrush artist.

Water based paints- Water based paints are just like there name sounds water based. This means that they can easily be cleaned from your gun with just water and soap. Two Great kinds of water based paints for beginners are Createx and AutoAir. Createx is a very good paint to get started with; it is cheap and easy to clean. Createx is a very popular paint and is used by many begginers all the way to professional t shirt artists. Auto air is another great water based paint. Auto air is a bit more Òhigh endÓ than createx. It is still water based but it brings more vibrant colors and paint types to the table. AutoAir is a very versatile paint, it goes from panels, all the way to cars and motorcycles. It is used by professionals all around the world.

Urethane based paints- Urethane based paints are oil based, this means they cannot be cleaned solely with water, the gun must be cleaned thoroughly with paint thinner. Urethane based paints can create a really brilliant color scale, the colors are bright and give you a professional project. Paint can often take your work from mediocre to professional levels. Note; Urethane paints are very toxic, it is necessary to where an auto respirator when using these paints.
