What is MMCCN?
MaMa Children Center of Norway is a foundation led by the 82 year old woman Rachel Trovi from Norway. She started her work in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, 22 years ago all by herself with no organization to help her. The foundations objective is to help people to help themselves. They do this by offering the poor people an education so they can get financial independent. This is the only way for them to get out of Poverty which has been the reality for many generations in their family. In the 22 years that Rachel has been around, she has founded and run today 3 orphanages, 6 pre-schools, a sewing school,a centre for single mothers and sexual abused girls, a drop-in centre, a home for the elderly and a church and community centre. She also visit different prisons and help people on the streets. All the work in focused on God and he is the reason why this have been made possible.
