About the Comic

Pearls Before Swine is a newspaper comic about near stick figure animals, one pig with a ignorant bliss view on life, a megalomaniac rat with a cynical, angry view on life; and a whole cast of other characters. Its in the paper daily, and is updated on http://comics.com/pearls_before_swine/ as it's put in the newspapers.

Stephan Pastis was born in California and got a degree at University of California Berkley and later got his degree in law. He worked as an attorney and at the same time tried to get is dream of having a syndicated comic. He tried a couple of concepts that were rejected; but eventually he got Pearls Before Swine to get through. Now his comic that started publication in 2001 is in more than 450 newspapers world wide. He left his law job in 2002.
