Practicing Good Stewardship

Don't Litter, Take along a bag for trash and pick up all trash including extra fishing line.
Use the correct type of bait and gear permitted in the area.
Use proper technuiqes in cleaning your boat after you are done fishing as to not encourage the spread of non-native species.
Do not fish in areas where it is not promitted. Areas that are off limits to fishing are usually done so to protect natural vegitation wildlife or yourself.

Being Safe While Fishing

If useing a boat to fish make sure to wear the proper life jacket and make sure your passangers wear one too.
Use caution when baiting and removing hooks.
Do not fish on unauthorized waterways.
If operating a house boat be careful of carbon monoxide buildup around the boat.
Obey the posted speed limits and wake warnings.
Bring along extra safety items such as water, maps, flashlights, a cellphone or radio.
