Judaism
History
Jewish people believe they are chosen by God. And there is an established covenant from Abraham that made him their leader in the early nations. Abraham lead the jewish people until Moses, who led the inprisoned jews out of Egypt. From there Moses recieved the Law from God. The jews then wandered in the desert after they fell into sin, until Joshua led them into the promise land. The first king of the Jews was Saul, then there was King David. David made Jerusalem the religious center of the age, and Solomon built a great temple there. After the Romans destroyed Jerusalem the Jews were forced out of the area. They settled in Europe, where they became the object of persecution. Israel is now an independant country, and is the head of the Jewish community.
